Destination N.Y., Kristen+Mike's Roaring 20's New York Wedding

We first met Kristin on Memorial Day 2012 in Los Angeles California.
Kristin was one of several dozen OEF / OIF Veterans we interviewed for our film Operation Route 66
She had served in the Navy and was in the US Fleet in the Persian Gulf during the initial campaign in Iraq. Kristin  helped us reach out to many other veterans whom we interviewed also, through her work with The Mission Continues.
We are so grateful for Kristin's military service and especially grateful for her service here at home upon retiring from the Navy.

The story of Kristen+Mike:
After years of moving closer and closer to each other, but never meeting, Kristen and Mike were fatefully matched on Chemistry.com. Supporting each other during difficult times bonded the couple and they decided to wed last spring. Mike and Kristen both found their rings at Rambling Rose Estate Jewelry, where Kristen chose a 1920s glove ring. A combination of her mother's love for big band music, Kristen's love for the Art Deco period, and Kristen growing up on the North Shore of Long Island in New York, it was only appropriate to chose a Roaring 20s theme for their wedding. The Carlyle on the Green provided the best "Gatsby" setting and delicious food for a fun afternoon, the Flower Petaler sprinkled the event with beautiful flowers, and Bruce Saunders Entertainment got guests on their feet. With hair and makeup perfected by Fire Monkey Hair Design and The Makeup Loft, Kristen walked down the aisle in a Maggie Sottero gown glittered with Haute Bride earrings. A great time was had by all.
Happy Memorial Day, thank you for your service!
Congratulations Kristin+Mike!!
