Love the Love: Clover & Bee

As always, we feel so honored when wedding blogs feature our work.  It is a privilege and a blessing to be recognized by people in the wedding industry that appreciate all the work that goes into having a great wedding day.  On Clover & Bee, one of our recent weddings was displayed for all you midwestern brides to get some inspiration.  Check it out!

Here are just a few snippets from the page... and it's only part one!  Check out Clover & Bee to see the full post and check back to see Part 2!

Molly & Dave

Molly and Dave found us through good friend and O2 bride, Liz Murphy. Not only that, but the best man is our own Nick's cousin. Despite the size of this city it seems like such a small world!
Everything this awesome couple did seemed so meaningful. Molly got ready at their apartment in the Ukrainian Village. She even had her favorite hair dresser drive in from Michigan to help out. We then boarded the trolley and were off to the church! The church was attached to the school where Molly teaches; even some of her students came and sang during the ceremony. After a beautiful ceremony we headed to Humbolt Park, where the couple goes nearly every weekend. For us it made a wonderful background for this terrific couple! Then we joined the rest of the guests at the Cultural Center for a classic Chicago reception. The reception was filled with so much love and joy! From the handmade details, to the touching toasts. We had a blast working with Molly and Dave and wish them all the best!

Laura & Brad

Oh Laura and Brad, where do we begin?  Let's start with Laura's fabulous shoes and dress.  She wore bright blue heels with feathers on the toes and a dress that had details so pure, Michealangelo would have cried!  The couple didn't stop there, Brad gave his groomsmen and ushers personalized Zippo lighters.  The couple had their wedding at the beautiful Holy Name Cathedral in downtown Chicago with their reception at the classic Knickerbacker Hotel.  With sleek colors of black and gold, the venue was looking nearly as lovely as the couple.

There were many surprises during the day that made their wedding so personal.  Unbeknownst to Brad, Laura actually wrote their first dance song and Rhapsody performed it!  Laura also had the band play the song that her parents had as their first dance, and the parents shared a memorable few moments on the dance floor.  Also, Brad's entire family took the front of the dance floor and sang for the newlywed couple as well.

After a wonderful day, the couple went off to Fiji - we can't wait to see them again!

Jessica & Robert

Jessica and Robert took the plunge last weekend! We were fortunate enough to get to be there to share their special day. We started out with Jessica at the James hotel. After the girls were ready we were off to the Fourth Presbyterian church for the ceremony. Always a wonderful place to shoot. The chapel and grounds always lovely. After the ceremony we headed to Olive Park. This couple was so much fun they were even up for going and taking pictures on the beach, the bride and groom walked through the crowded beach and even played in the water. We then headed for the reception at the beautiful Murphy Auditorium and gave us more opportunities for terrific pictures.
Thank you again Jessica and Rob for letting us share in your wonderful day!

Love the Love: Rock 'n Roll Bride

It was an honor for us to be picked up by the funky and fresh Rock 'n Roll Bride!  They covered a wedding we did on Memorial Day weekend at Prairie Productions.

The couple had some great details and a sweet vintage car - check out the post to see more photos!

Delaware, Ohio: Lara & Scott

While most of our weddings are in the city we had the opportunity to go out into the country for this awesome event! Lara and Scott planned an intimate family affair on a friend's farm in Ohio. We had had a great time taking pictures this wonderful couple! Instead of a traditional seated affair, Lara and Scott decided on a pig roast. It was a sight to see! Roasted over open flames, and served with home made barbecue sauce, the pig stole the show! With a little throwback of nostalgia, the DJ was from Scott's college station, ACRN. After the wedding, many of the guests camped, including the bride and groom (and photogs)! We had a tremendous time shooting this wedding and camping out in the middle of Ohio! Thanks for including us!
