Eileen+Joe's Blackstone Hotel Wedding

The Proposal: Eileen moved to Chicago in 2007, it quickly became home for her. She was lucky to meet life long resident Joe, and this is where their story began.  The night of the proposal, after a nice dinner out downtown, Joe asked Eileen to take a walk. They walked down Michigan Ave. and soon arrived at one of the couples' favorite Chicago spots - Buckingham Fountain. They watched the light and music show for a bit and then Joe turned to Eileen and proposed. It was the perfect night!

The Wedding: The day started with Eileen getting ready at the The Blackstone Hotel. Her hair and makeup were by Pin Me Up Chicago, and she wore a dress & bolero by Lea Ann Belter paired with her mother's wedding veil, Kate Spade shoes, and family jewelry.   The Bridesmaids wore Alfred Sung dresses from Bella Bridesmaids paired with their own pearls, while the Groom and Groomsmen wore suits from Men's Warehouse. Finally it was time for Eileen and Joe to have their first look! Then  we headed outside with the whole bridal party for photographs out on the town. After group photos we headed to Old St. Patrick's Church for Eileen and Joe's lovely ceremony. Flowers were by Flower Firm, and stationary was by Village Paperie .  Leaving Old St. Patrick's, we returned to the Blackstone for their reception. Catering was taken care of in house by the Blackstone, cake was by Cake Chicago, and the evenings entertainment was by  Monastero Entertainment.
It was a great night!
Congrats Eileen and Joe!

Carey+Adam's Cafe Brauer Wedding

The Proposal: Adam delighted Carey by pulling off a true surprise and proposing on top of a Lake Cumberland houseboat the last night of their 2013 Labor Day vacation! She’d told him she had hoped he might propose there, but he dismissed her wishful inquiry with sad news that his family couldn’t make that trip and he knew how much she wanted to be surrounded by both families after the memorable event. A white lie well used, the Woodruff’s and Rabold’s were there to celebrate - also a surprise - right after the engagement on the houseboat!
The Wedding: Carey and Adam started their day at the Trump Hotel getting ready. The event was planned by Kim Gapinski from Bride+Joy Events, and florals by Anthony Gowder. Carey's makeup and hair was by Kerra Coticchia. She wore a gown from Glamour Closet by Monique Lhuillier with shoes by Sophia Webster Shoes, and jewelry by Banana Republic. The Bridesmaid's wore Mignon Doo from BHLDN with accessories by Kate Spade.  After Carey and Adam were ready we headed to St. Michael's in Old Town for their formal ceremony. After Carey+Adam became husband and wife, we headed out on the town for photographs. We spent time in the south gardens, downtown, and on Michigan Ave. before heading to Cafe Brauer for the lovely reception. Catering was by Blue Plate Catering, and the cake was by Whole Foods Lincoln Park. The evenings entertainment was by Rendezvous.
Congrats Carey and Adam!
