Janel+Gary's Fall Wine Themed Wedding

The Proposal:  Janel and Gary are a fun and adventurous couple. They got engaged on a trip to Costa Rica when Gary arranged for a private dinner on the beach, and right before dessert he popped the question!  He gave her a ring from New York Jewelers. 

The Wedding: The day started with Janel getting ready at the Sheraton Chicago. The lovely event was planned by Elisa Juster from Simply Elegant Events, with florals by Ashland Addison Florist, makeup by Arch Apothecary, and hair by Rachel Miller.

Janel wore a gown by Martina Liana, and jewelry from BHLDN. The Bridesmaid's wore Jenny Yoo, while the Groom and Groomsmen wore Vera Wang from Men's Warehouse. Janel and Gary shared their first look in the lobby while their extended family and friends looked on. After a few happy tears, we headed out to a nearby fountain for the first bridal party photos. It started to rain almost immediately, but we embraced it and had a great time going around the city taking photos at the Kinzie St. Bridge, Board of Trade, Union Station, and U.S. Cellular Field! Just as we finished shooting on the field, it started to pour and we had to run for cover. Now it was off to the ceremony and reception at the Bridgeport Art Center. Janel and Gary married in the large first floor event space then went outside to share wine and cocktails with their guests while the room was changed for the reception festivities. Dinner was catered by the Hearty Boys, the cake was from Bitter Sweet, and music was provided by Blue Water Kings Band.

Jennifer+Matthew's Classic Summer Country Club Wedding

The Proposal Story: Jennifer and Matthew met at the University of Illinois when she was set up with Matthew as a date for a sorority event, which Jennifer cancelled, but later was introduced to him as "the guy you were supposed to go out with." Multiple friends take credit for the set up! Fast forward a little more than 5 years, to December 23, 2012. Matthew knows Christmas season is Jennifer's favorite time of the year. He planned an entire day downtown and when they were bundled up and walking to dinner through her favorite garden in Lincoln Park, Matthew stopped in the middle of the garden, got down on one knee and proposed. He surprised her with a beautiful ring he designed himself.   When they finally made it to the restaurant, Matthew pulled off the second big surprise of the night and had both of their families waiting for us there to celebrate. 

The Wedding Day: Jennifer got ready at her parents house, where she shared some beautiful moments with her friends and family before hopping on the trolly to St. Raymond de Penafort to marry Matthew. Her beautiful makeup was done by Jaime Abraham, her dress designer was Enzoani, and florals by Ashland Addison Florist. The guys arrived at the church by trolley before the girls, and shared some laughs and shot some hoops before the ceremony. The couple shared a touching ceremony, with many happy tears. Following the marriage ceremony we headed straight to Chevy Chase Country Club for photos on the grounds. The highlights of the reception included some great speeches and a lot of dancing. The pretty cake was by Sweet Whimsy Pastry Shoppe.
