Joey and Jeff's Bloomingdale Golf Club Wedding

The Proposal: Jeff and Joey met and fell in love in June of 2007.  They moved in together one year later and began building their life and family unit together.  In June 2011 Illinois passed a law allowing same sex couples to enter into a Civil Union, and that Christmas Jeff and Joey announced their commitment and intention to be married someday to the couples' family.  As a symbol of their commitment, Joey and Jeff each began wearing a ring on a chain around their necks.  Because they believe in marriage equality for every person Joey and Jeff decided to wait until they could officially and legally be married in the state of Illinois before going any further.  In November 2013 the great state of Illinois did pass a law allowing same sex couples the right to legally marry.  In April 2014 while vacationing at the beautiful Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Resort in Jamaica on a moonlit beach listening to the beautiful music of John Legend’s “All of Me” on one knee Jeff proposed to Joey with a beautiful new ring to represent their upcoming marriage.  The couple's commitment rings sit together on their nightstand in a jar etched with ”Always Kiss Me Goodnight” so they will always remember how their engagement began.

The Wedding: The whole soiree took place at Bloomingdale Golf Club. Joey and Jeff's wedding was planned by Shannon Gail Wedding and Events, the Grooms and Groomsmen wore Sean Garbarino from Men's Warehouse, with the ladies wearing dresses from Nordstrom. The weddings videography was by Nick Romano from Vanilla Video, florals by Ryan Turner from Stemline Creative. Joey and Jeff walked down the aisle together, to the sounds of the Quartet Parapluie, and officially became Mr.&Mr. surrounded by family and friends.  After the ceremony, we took the wedding party outside for photographs around the club before the reception.  Wedding cake by Central Continental Bakery, and entertainment by Toast&Jam DJs. A smashing good time was had by all.
