Laura and Mick's Emmet's Brewery Wedding

Laura and Mick are such a cute couple! After their 1st meeting and a few pictures at their new home, the group took off for the nearby Lyman Woods. A freak rain storm drove everybody for the nearest shelter, which happened to be a bowling alley! The crew took it in stride and had a great time even though they were all soaked. Determined to have the ceremony outside, Laura, Mick and their guests braved a few more sprinkles of rain at Fishel Park to tie the knot!  The reception was held at Emmets Brewery. Laura and Mick left under an archway of sparklers as they said farewell and rode off into the future. Congrats and thanks for letting us be part of your memorable day!

Erin & Masato Historic Rookery Wedding

We still can't get over how stunning with wedding is! Erin and Masato got ready at the JW Marriott. Which, by the way has gorgeous bathrooms. From there we went to a few of our favorite spots downtown for pictures. Then it was off to the Rookery for the wedding! The Rookery Building is arguably the prettiest building in Chicago, perfect for a intimate wedding in the heart of downtown. Both ceremony and reception were held in the great hall. Transformers 4; which has been filming in Chicago this summer and fall, had a set right outside the Rookery. So we took advantage of the scene and made a few pictures. At the end of the evening, Erin and Masato exited the reception through a tunnel of sparklers! Congrats guys! 

Destination Petoskey, MI: Kasey & Grant's Wedding

Destination weddings are always an adventure! When Kasey and Grant asked us to shoot their wedding in Petoskey MI, we jumped at the chance. So few weekends ago, we left the hot Chicago pavement and headed north to cooler climes. Grant and Kasey met and live in LA, but both of them have a special place in their hearts for the Petoskey area. She grew up there, and he summered near by as a child. When it came to planning their wedding, it was an obvious choice. The couple and their families put a lot of DIY work into their wedding: all the paper flowers and poofs, to hand painted signs and homemade cookies. The ceremony and reception where held at the Country Club of Boyne. The couple wed as the light grew long over the golf course. Then it was into the club house for a night filled with a lot of laughs and a few tears. Congrats guys!
