Love the Love: Style Me Pretty Illinois

We are so excited to today to have our wedding featured on Style Me Pretty Illinois! There were many wonderful vendors who helped make this such a special event. Our good friends at Toast&Jam, Tiffany of Soiree Weddings, The lovely ladies at the History Museum, Jewel Catering, and Natural Beauties floral. Destination Petoskey, MI: Kasey & Grant's Wedding

Destination weddings are always an adventure! When Kasey and Grant asked us to shoot their wedding in Petoskey MI, we jumped at the chance. So few weekends ago, we left the hot Chicago pavement and headed north to cooler climes. Grant and Kasey met and live in LA, but both of them have a special place in their hearts for the Petoskey area. She grew up there, and he summered near by as a child. When it came to planning their wedding, it was an obvious choice. The couple and their families put a lot of DIY work into their wedding: all the paper flowers and poofs, to hand painted signs and homemade cookies. The ceremony and reception where held at the Country Club of Boyne. The couple wed as the light grew long over the golf course. Then it was into the club house for a night filled with a lot of laughs and a few tears. Congrats guys!

Hilary & Nathan's Lincoln Park Wedding

You may remember Hilary and Nathan from their winter engagement session. After months of anticipation, the adorable couple finally tied the not in Lincoln Park. Hilary and Nathan said their "I dos" at St. Clement. Following the ceremony we toted around the neighborhood, before ending at Cafe Brauer. Hilary's family is no stranger to the studio (we photographed her brother's wedding last year), so we knew the party was going to be exciting and crazy. Michelle & Kevin's InterContinental Wedding

Michelle and Kevin's were such a joy to work with. These high school sweethearts planned an amazing wedding day, one we will never forget! Michelle and Kevin tied the knot at St. Rita of Cascia,  where Kevin attended high school and minutes away from where Michelle grew up. After the ceremony we headed downtown for some pictures with their lively wedding party. The celebration continued in the Renaissance Ballroom at InterContinental Hotel, an Orange2 favorite! Thanks to Stems for making the ballroom look even more fabulous than it already is, and to TVK Music for keeping the dance floor crowded all night!

Shauna & Tony's Lilly Pond and The Green Zebra Wedding

Shauna and Tony were such a pleasure to work with!  These two made their wedding completely personal - down to the last detail.  Shauna got ready at a salon/vintage store (making the photographer want to go back to shop!) where her entirely custom dress and purple birdcage veil were getting some last minute touches.  Their ceremony was at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond in Lincoln Park, and despite it being the Saturday of the Air and Water Show, it was quiet and intimate.  With less than twenty guests, the couple shared personal vows and participated in a hand ceremony instead of exchanging rings.  While Shauna and Tony were getting their photos done, family and friends had drinks at the High Dive before walking east for dinner at the Green Zebra -- the bride and groom wanted to keep their celebration right in their neighborhood.  Tony made the yarn balloon chandelier and Shauna made the fabric flower decor for their dinner. 

Annie & Christian's Signature Room Wedding

It's true, opposites do attract. Annie, a yoga instructor, caught the eye of Christian, a MMA fighter, back in highs school. After a very long courtship the couple got married at Old St. Pat's, followed by a beautiful reception at the Signature Room at John Hancock.
